All Classes are Multi-Level.

Beginners start by using your hands and a minimum of basic tools learning the fundamentals of handbuilding. Construction processes are explored such as coil building, slab construction, pinching, and extrusion. A variety of surface decorations such as applied textures, sgraffito, and glaze application is studied. Students will pursue individual projects with assistance from the instructor.

More experienced ceramicists build on your basic handbuilding skills and explore more complex functional and/or sculptural forms. Study will include refinement of handbuilding techniques, surface treatments and finishing options. The class will review and critique fired results to foster the development of a personal style.

Cancellation Policy

Brickhouse reserves the right to cancel a class or workshop. If enrollment goals are not met, a course may be cancelled up to 48 hours before the first scheduled class. In the event of a cancellation, a full refund is granted.
