BrickHouse is now offering consecutive private lessons, for those who want more flexibility in scheduling, but with the consistency and experience of a semester class.

Beginner students will be working one-on-one with an experienced instructor to learn the basics of wheel throwing. They will center, trim and eventually glaze their own pieces. 

More experienced students can hone skills and complete more advanced projects.

 

FIRING

Students will have pieces measured by monitors at 5 cents per cubic inch (this includes bisque and glaze firing).

 

BENCHTIME

Recurring private lesson students may use benchtime the week that they have a scheduled class. They may only come to benchtime according to this schedule: FULL BENCHTIME SCHEDULE. Benchtime costs $5 per day. Private lesson students CANNOT purchase unlimited benchtime.


SCHEDULING

Please contact us here to schedule your first appointment before purchasing a lesson. Private Lessons are by appointment on an individual basis. Appointments may be available during the day or in the evening any day of the week.  Please understand that your requested date may not be available.

Whether you purchase your lesson or send a request, your contact information will be forwarded to an instructor. The instructor will contact you directly to schedule your lesson, based on availability, and answer any questions you have about the session.

When you come in for your lesson, wear old clothes or bring an old towel, apron or smock.

 


REFUND/RESCHEDULE POLICY

An unscheduled lesson may be refunded within 60 days after the purchase date.  A scheduled lesson must be paid in full 24 hours after agreeing to the appointment. Scheduled lessons require 24-hour notice prior to the appointment in order to reschedule for a different timeslot.  Scheduled lessons require 36-hour notice prior to the appointment for a full refund.  Failing to attend a scheduled lesson without notification to the instructor or office, will render the class non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
